Creating the dream for local nursery school
R&C’s customer ‘Steel Dreams’ have for over 20 years been designing and manufacturing some amazing bespoke steelwork, their work may be found in the foyers and reception areas of some of the UK’s foremost venues, businesses and residences.They were commissioned by Ashbrow Nursery School in Huddersfield to realise a dream the children had.The children had designed their own School gates and Steel Dreams were tasked with the complex manufacturing of their imagery.After manufacture the complex gates were galvanized for a lifetimes protection by R&C.Afterwards the gates were painted to the original colours on the childrens drawings…a time consuming but rewarding exercise.
R&C gain Interpon D Applicator status at the first attempt.
Since the companies formation in 2010, R&C Coatings have continually delivered on their customer promise ...’to be the best Powder Coating company in the UK’.
Another step was realised in September this year with the award, at the first attempt, of Akzo Nobel’s Interpon D Applicator status...one of the most prestigious awards with the Powder Coating industry.
The Interpon D brand offered by Akzo Nobel is a premium range of powder coatings for use in galvanised steel applications. The testing and following audit by Akzo Nobel is very stringent and demonstrates that the R&C plant can provide Powder Coatings to the standards set by the worlds leading material supplier.
The Interpon D range comes with a 25 year warranty from Akzo Nobel which will be supported by certificates of conformity from R&C.

Ascent Precision continue R&C Partnership
Asecent Precision have announced this morning that they have won the next phase of the London Bike scheme and we will be processing all the galvanising. Because of the excellent quality & service that R&C had provided with the previous orders they have been awarded the contract.
This will begin in August and run through February 2012R&C strengthen the powder coating team
R&C Coatings rapid growth has seen the need for additional experienced staff at the state of the art plant.
Richard Barr with over 34 years industry experience joins R&C as plant manger to oversee production.
Richard's experience will ensure the quality and reliability maintain and exceed the high standards already set

Keeping the bikes covered
R&C have been working closely with Blueberry of Leicester to deliver a powder coating solution for a range of products that include bike shelters.
Blueberry Bike shelters can be manufactured to meet specific site requirements or a selection of standard designs are available upon request. Bolt down or with 'root' foundations, shelters are modular in construction, available for any number of bike stands, with clear or solid roof construction.
The demands of all-weather protection have been met by R&C's pre-treatment and quality of powder coating.
Difficult manufacturing task made easy…
'When our Irish sister company, Irish Industrial Tanks, came to us with an order for some sprinkler tanks for the new Bombardier factory, we knew it was not your everyday type of order! The customer was building a new factory to manufacture fuselage and wings for the new C series aeroplane conveniently located at Belfast Airport. They needed very large, state of the art sprinkler tanks to sit alongside their new factory. In this instance the highest quality steel panels were integral to building the right structure for the customer. Our natural choice of supplier to meet these high standards was Roebuck & Clarke. These were the some of the largest panels that Galglass had ever worked with so Roebuck & Clarke's expertise was key to the successful delivery of this project. The quality of material supplied from Roebuck and Clarke; coupled with their collaborative approach of working closely to our specific needs, confirmed them as outstanding suppliers of galvanized steel.'

Working with Kingsmith on Dual Coating
R&C have introduced Dualcoat to Kingsmith Installations and are now galvanizing and Powder Coating many of their products.
Kingsmith Installations, with restructuring, has been established for more than 20 years, covering all aspects of structural steelwork, ornamental ironwork, balustrading etc., plus maintenance work for local authorities, refurbishments and repairs.
R&C down on the farm
Another challenging Galvanizing project, artist and sculptress Fenella Noble asked R&C to galvanize her new pieces of sculpture to ensure they have a lifespan of at least 20 years.
Fenella designed and produced the sculptures in honour of the McClure family, owners of a herd of beautiful Freesian/ Holstein cross cows.
R&C enter the Olympics
The 2012 Olympics is the largest construction and engineering project currently underway in the UK. Firms from the length and breadth of the country are supplying products and service and R&C is no exception.
R&C have supplied a wide range of both Galvanized and Powder Coated material to the project with particular focus on the specially designed pre-fabricated reinforcement cages for the Olympic village. The Galvanizing was supplied to BRC Reinforcement of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, the UK‘s largest supplier of steel reinforcement and associated products for concrete.
