There she blows!
If you think galvanizing is all about, gates, railings and industrial components, then..look again!
R&C have developed a reputation for galvanizing 'works of art', the reputation has been built on the quality of the galvanizing on intricate and more often than not, delicate structures.
The whale was galvanized for and exhibition that is now in its 5th venue having been to Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Kingston Upon Thames and Dumfries prior to it's current residence at The Harley Gallery just South of Worksop. The whale did not go to Kingston as the doors were too narrow for it to fit, but we have had to carry it upstairs twice now and I wish it was not quite as big and heavy.

R&C Finding Religion
Equaman Metal Products and local sculptor, Andy Shaw were commissioned by the academy of St Francis School to design and produce a large scale religious sculpture.Based on the St Francis of Assisi theme, the sculpture which is fondly referred to as Frank, has been created in steel.Equaman Metal Products turned to R&C to galvanize the complex and large (5 metres) sculpture. When asked why they chose R&C: ‘We have worked with the guys at R&C before and they understand the quality of finish that is needed on thin gauge steel sculptures, their quality and attention to detail is second to none, and as you can see from the finished sculpture, the result adds to the aesthetic value of the project.’
